I'm David Oswald, and I built a wellbeing tool with refreshingly low expectations.
Well Enough Life is a free framework and questionnaire for people who are managing, showing up, getting things done, and not quite themselves. It is not about transformation. It is not about optimisation. It is about feeling like yourself again, most of the time.

What it actually is
Well Enough Life is built around the Well Enough Check, a free fifteen-minute questionnaire that measures seven dimensions of wellbeing: Pause, Restore, Move, Connect, Filter, Ground, and Ripple.
Take it, and you get a personalised report plus a 30-day plan, drawn from a bank of 21 practices that mostly take less than five minutes. No retreats. No green juice. No becoming a calmer, more enlightened version of yourself by next Tuesday.
It is free for individuals. It is free for organisations too, although if a business wants their team's aggregated results and a working session with me to do something useful with them, that part isn't free. Everyone has to eat.
Key messages
- ·Well Enough Life offers an alternative to optimisation culture, not a more extreme version of it.
- ·It is built around seven dimensions of wellbeing, not a single score or a verdict.
- ·The Well Enough Check is free, private, and designed to help people focus, not to diagnose them.
- ·The philosophy in one line: not perfect, not extreme, just well enough.
- ·The aim is simple. Help people feel more like themselves, more often.
A quick word on what this is not
Well Enough Life is a personal development tool, not a clinical one. It is built for the space between feeling genuinely unwell and feeling genuinely good. It is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are reporting on this, it would mean a great deal if that distinction held. It is the one boundary I am not flexible about.
Suggested interview angles
- ·The gap between burnout and thriving that nobody seems to be talking about.
- ·Why the wellness industry sells transformation when most people just want to feel like themselves again.
- ·What seven dimensions of wellbeing actually look like in an ordinary week.
- ·The organisational cost of a workforce that isn't burnt out, just quietly running on empty.
- ·Why "better, not best" might be a more honest standard than anything else currently on offer.

David Oswald
Founder, Well Enough Life
david@wellbeingsolved.com
David Oswald spent twenty years helping organisations get better at developing their people, and he was good at it. What frustrated him was watching training fail, not because it was wrong, but because the people in the room were too stressed to learn any of it.
That observation led him to build Well Enough Life, a framework based on one idea: small changes, made consistently, in the time you actually have, will get you further than a personality overhaul. He also runs Wellbeing Solved, a workplace wellbeing consultancy, and splits his time between Berlin and London.
Boilerplate
Well Enough Life is a free wellbeing framework built around seven dimensions: Pause, Restore, Move, Connect, Filter, Ground, and Ripple. At its centre is the Well Enough Check, a free fifteen-minute questionnaire that produces a personalised report and a 30-day plan of small, doable practices. Not perfect. Not extreme. Just well enough.
